This collection contains records created by the police department of Siret during the interwar period and World War II. Of interest to those researching regional Jewish history may be a folder recording those who renounced Romanian citizenship and adopted the citizenship of other countries (almost all Jews) and a folder with the ethnic breakdown of various demographic groups (students, factory owners, workers) in Siret - of interest due to the utter absence of the Jewish population as it was created following the deportations to Transnistria.
